Al-ʿĀrif (Tārīkh Ghazza, 277) calls Maqbarat al-Kharrūbī an extension of Maqabarat al-Awzāʿī (cf. Sharon, CIAP, vol. 4, p. 40).
Gatt labelled the entire area 'Maqbarat al-Kharrūbī'. According to Gatt (ZDPV 11:151) al-Kharrūbī was a "saint".
